When you arrive at Bohemian Hall, please walk up the six steps and go through the brown doors.  Then walk straight to the Main Hall.

Is this an indoor event?

Yes, its an indoor event. We’re based out of the Main Hall at Bohemian Hall.

When is set-up?

Set-up begins at 11 am and doors to the public open at 12 pm. The event ends at 6 pm and breakdown is thereafter.

What type of spaces do you offer?

We offer 6 x 5 ft and 8 x 5 ft spaces.

A 6 x 5 ft space comes with a 6′ table and chairs. For our 6 x 5 ft space, please note that all of your material needs to fit in the space. If you’re bringing large racks with you, the 6ft table will not fit in the space along with the racks. If this is the case, you may want to bring a small fold-up table with you, if you feel you need it. Please inform us in advance if you will bring your own table.

A limited number of 8 x5 ft spaces are available. A 8 x5 ft space comes with an 8′ or 6′ table and chairs. In this space, you can request an 8′ or a 6′ table. With a 6′ table you’ll have room for a rack, etc.

When booking please specify your needs. All tables and chairs are arranged by the time you arrive so all you need to do is set up your wares at your designated spot.

What comes with my space?

With a 6 x 5 space, you’ll receive a 6ft table and chairs.

With a 8 x 5 space, you’ll receive a 6ft or 8ft table depending on your needs, and chairs.

Please specify how many chairs you require.

Will I have access to an electrical outlet?

We can offer electrical outlets to only a limited number of spaces.  There is an additional fee for these spaces. Contact us in advance to inquire or request a space that has electricity.

If you do not request a space with electricity, you will not have access to an electrical outlet. This is a vintage space with very few outlets. We cannot run wires across the hall because the hall is used for other events after the market closes.

Will I have access to Wi-Fi?

Yes. The Main Hall does have Wi-Fi.

You can connect to the open account called Beer Garden. For any closed access the log in password is the same as the username.

Is there food and drinks on the premises?

Yes. Bohemian Hall is a full service restaurant and bar/beer garden. To order grilled food, head out to the kiosk stand in the garden. To order from the restaurant menu, head downstairs to the restaurant section of Bohemian Hall and order directly from the restaurant’s bar.

Where can I grab a coffee or sandwich?

Try out Othello’s Deli which is about 2 blocks from the market. Click here for their menu.

Where is the nearest ATM machine?

There is one located by the front of the bar within Bohemian Hall. 

Are there restrooms?

Yes. They are right outside the event hall. There is an extra set within the restaurant and by the bar.

Is there parking nearby?

On Sundays you can find parking pretty easily around Bohemian Hall. However if you would like to go to a municipal parking lot, there are two on the same block. They’re located on 33rd Street between Ditmars and 23rd Avenue. One is in the rear of a Key Food Supermarket, and the other is in the rear of  a Sovereign Bank.

How do I get to Astoria Market by train?

Take the N or Q train to Astoria Boulevard. The walk from the train to Bohemian Hall is about a block away as long as you get off on the correct exit – Northwest Exit. Head down the stairs by the playground (Hoyt Playground); this is the N.W. side (31st Street). Then you walk straight ahead towards 24th Avenue. Once on 24th Avenue, make a left and Bohemian Hall & Astoria Market is right there. Also, once you get off the stop most people know where Bohemian Hall is, so you can always ask someone.

How do I reserve a spot?

Email us at info@astoriamarket.com with the date(s) you’d like to reserve.

Please do not reserve a date in advance without fully intending to book your spot. If you are unsure of your availability on a date you’d like to participate, your best bet is to reserve the space when you are confident that you can make it. Reserving and then canceling when payment is due causes a lot of unnecessary work for us, and could lead to you not being able to participate in the future.

What if I need to cancel a date I already booked?

There are no refunds on dates booked.

Can I share my space with another vendor?

Yes, you can also share your space with another vendor; the vendor needs to be pre-approved by us. We need to know in advance that you will be sharing.

Can I leave my wares and/or displays at the market?

No, your wares or displays can’t be left or stored in the space; you must be prepared to take everything with you at the end of each evening.

Can I hang merchandise on the wall?

Since this space is used as an event hall, you can hang merchandise on the wall as long as you are using existing nails, or tape/putty. You can’t hammer and add additional nails to the walls. Since we have limited wall spots at this venue, we reserve the right to place vendors in wall slots based on their products/displays.

How is the seating arrangement done?

We will select the seating arrangements for each vendor based on  space availability and type of wares. We reserve the right to place vendors in wall slots based on their products/displays. Note that each table in this space has excellent visibility.

What if I need to leave early?

If you have a prior engagement and need to leave before 6pm, kindly advise us as soon as possible so that we can place you in an area where you will be of least disruption to vendors and shoppers. If you have not informed us that you need to leave in advance,  do stay till the end of the event which is at 6pm. Leaving beforehand creates confusion for the shoppers who think we might be closing and is rude and disruptive to the vendors who are there. If you still decide to leave beforehand without informing us or our staff in advance, you will be promptly removed from our mailing list and not be asked to participation at any of our other events.
