HandCrafting Justice‘s “Global HandCraft Summer Sale,” this weekend (7/10) at the Astoria Market, will feature beautiful, fair trade scarves made by women of the New Bethlehem Cooperative in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The cooperative creates economic opportunities for the women by teaching income-generating skills such as sewing, weaving, embroidery and other textile handcrafts. The scarves will be priced to sell at one for $10, or three for $25.
